A Detroit staple and birth-place to the world-famous Coney Dog, American Coney Island’s (ACI) location at the D Las Vegas will celebrate the expected sale of its one-millionth signature dog on Tuesday, July 25. One lucky customer will receive a year of free Coney Dogs to commemorate this landmark moment for the restaurant, which has become a favorite for Las Vegas visitors and locals. Third generation co-owner Chris Sotiropoulos – whose grandfather Constantine "Gust" Keros started the business in 1917 – will be joined by the D’s CEO Derek Stevens to salute the milestone and declare the occasion “American Coney Island Las Vegas Day.”
Family owned and operated since day one, American Coney Island has continued its tasty tradition in Las Vegas by serving mouth-watering Coney Dogs at the D Las Vegas, its only location outside of Michigan. The beloved dish grew in popularity from its secret family “Coney Island Chili Sauce” recipe, which comes topped with mustard and sweet chopped onions.
To celebrate the company’s 100th year in business, American Coney Island will also offer commemorative t-shirts designed by Detroit-native and Grammy Award-winning artist Kid Rock.
