Zia Records and Dogfish Head Brewery are partnering for a special charity dinner, benefitting Adopt a Rescue Pet and A Home 4 Spot at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Thursday, April 6 at 6 p.m. PT.
Zia Records has planned an exciting food, music, and vinyl record-centric event, featuring a great menu, bowling, and a beer tasting provided by Dogfish Head Brewery. Zia Records will host a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting local Vegas pet rescues. Along with their meal, diners will have the chance to bid on exclusive vinyl records, test pressings, concert ticket bundles, turntables, and many other exciting items. All attendees will receive an exclusive Dogfish Head Record Store Day 2017 poster.
“This is a really exciting and important event, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be hosting this year,” said Brooklyn Bowl Senior Vice President, Chris White. “Zia Records, just like Brooklyn Bowl, is a pillar of culture and entertainment in this community, and to team up together with Dogfish Head to give back to Las Vegas means a lot to us. It’s going to be a great night.”
Zia Records frequently partners with local charities and non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness. This year, Zia is teaming with Adopt a Rescue Pet and A Home 4 Spot. Since 2000, Adopt a Rescue Pet has saved more than 15,000 homeless pets and match loving pets with caring homes. Founded in 2009, A Home 4 Spot is a volunteer based organization that provides foster care and medicine while seeking permanent homes for abandoned dogs. Proceeds from the dinner event and forthcoming Zia Records You Heard Us Back When, Volume 11 local music compilation, in addition to donations collected at Zia store locations, will benefit these organizations and others like them in Arizona.
Record Store Day is a nationally-recognized holiday celebrating independent record stores like Zia Records with hundreds of exclusive releases available on Saturday, April 22. Launched in 2008, Zia Records was a charter store in the Record Store Day campaign, which celebrates a decade of recognizing and promoting independent record stores in 2017. This year, over 300 limited-edition titles will be available at Zia Records in Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas, including Zia Records’ local music compilation.
