Historic Vegas comes to life during the Oscar Dinner Series with former city of Las Vegas Mayor, Oscar B. Goodman. The next dinner on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m., at Oscar’s steakhouse at the Plaza Hotel & Casino will feature Goodman and a special guest speaking about the “Scoundrel and Charmer - an evening with the world’s greatest cheat and thief.”
Guests at the Jan. 26 will have the rare opportunity to meet in person the subject of Goodman’s story. Goodman will be joined by the notorious cheat who will demonstrate how he actually cheated the slot machines and made casino owners tremble at the thought of another jackpot being won.
At the Oscar Dinner Series, guests enjoy a gourmet three-course meal paired with red and white wines as well as the signature Oscar Goodman Martini while listening to Goodman discuss his extraordinary experiences as a criminal defense attorney that are hallmarks of Las Vegas’ unique and fascinating history.
The menu for the Jan. 26 dinner offers guests their choice of a Caesar salad or an arugula salad with poached pear, red onion and a champagne vinaigrette. Entrée selections include a veal chop with rosemary demi-glace; pan seared halibut with sautéed greens and saffron cream; filet mignon with mashed potato and Brussel sprouts; or chicken and artichoke with natural jus and potato puree. Desserts options include cheesecake or chocolate mousse.
