On Saturday, Oct. 15, ONE DROP hosted the fifth annual Walk for Water to raise funds and awareness for critical water issues worldwide. Presented by Barrick Gold Corporation, the event drew approximately 500 guests to Symphony Park at The Smith Center, where Mayor Carolyn Goodman welcomed the community and praised them for their participation. The walk ended at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, where guests enjoyed complimentary refreshments, live entertainment, carnival games, raffle prizes and more at the venue’s “Haunted Harvest Festival.” This year featured more entertainment than ever, with special performances by DJ JBray, Prodigy Dance Crew and the Bishop Gorman Percussion Program. Vegas’ very own JayR Beatbox also entertained fans and served as emcee of the day’s activities. Also in attendance, Congresswoman Dina Titus presented a special Congressional Proclamation to Jerry Nadal, ONE DROP Board Member and Senior Vice President of the Resident Shows Division at Cirque du Soleil®, recognizing ONE DROP for its outstanding global efforts. The fifth annual Walk for Water raised $50,000, with all proceeds benefiting ONE DROP and the cause.
