Coming Up! Free Community Safety Forum To Discuss Elder Abuse On 8/21
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, partners with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) to host August’s Community Safety Forum on the topic of Elder Abuse. The event is sponsored by NV Energy. For those unable to attend, the presentation will be live-streamed on themobmuseum.org.
For every case of elder abuse reported, it is estimated five remain unreported. This unfortunate reality can take numerous forms—from neglect and physical harm to taking financial advantage of the vulnerable elderly. Attendees at this forum will learn what constitutes elder abuse, how to report it and the resources that are available to assist.
WHO: LVMPD Officers
WHEN: Sunday, August 21, 2016
2 – 3 p.m.
COST: FREE – the Community Safety Forum itself is free and all attendees receive free admission to the Museum, sponsored by NV Energy.
