A.C.T.S. has been an annual tradition in Las Vegas, raising more than $300,000 for Safe Nest. The show, which consists of acts from the Southern Nevada advertising and media community, raises money for Safe Nest, a non-profit organization geared toward the prevention and elimination of domestic violence. The talent show is a way for members of the media to show off their fun side, with singing, dancing, comedy, juggling, magic, and bands. A.C.T.S. is a volunteer event – all staff, performers, board members, and venues donate their time and services for the event each year.
This year, Safe Nest is in dire need of new vans to shuttle the children at the shelter to and from school, to activities and more. Funds raised from this year’s talent show will go to those vehicles. Last year, A.C.T.S. raised more than $28,000 which was used to assist in the new playground project currently underway for the children at the Safe Nest Shelter. In past years, items such as computers and playground equipment for the children have been purchased with the money raised.
Sponsors include Subaru of Las Vegas, Santa Fe Station Hotel Casino, Geary Company, Kelly Sheehan, Demodave Production & Voiceover, and Pete Radd.
