The Las Vegas pool season has hit downtown early with The Tank and The Hideout, a year-round outdoor pool experience at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Rated 'America's Most Amazing Hotel Pools' by CNN Travel, 'The Most Extreme Pools in the World' by Travel Channel and the 'Top Ten Hot Hotel Pool Scenes in Vegas' by Condé Nast Traveler, Golden Nugget Las Vegas features two distinct pool experiences providing locals and tourists alike with the ultimate poolside experience.
The Tank
The award-winning Golden Nugget Las Vegas pool, also known as The Tank, features a centerpiece 200,000-gallon live shark aquarium, a three-story waterslide that showcases a clear passage through the Shark Tank, waterfalls, 15 private cabanas and the H2O poolside lounge. The Tank offers two floors to soak up the sun and relax with family and friends for a day of poolside fun.
Guests are invited to slide through the three-story Shark Chute and get up-close-and-personal to five species of sharks and a variety of exotic fish. Shark species include sand tiger, brown, Pacific blacktip, nurse and zebra sharks. A weekly behind-the-scenes tour conducted by staff marine biologists is also available and shows guests the inner workings of the aquarium.
Set amidst the colossal tank, the H20 Bar invites guests to enjoy specialty cocktails poolside. Other amenities offered by the pool include three live gaming tables; 15 private cabanas featuring personal 32-inch flat screen TVs, comfortable furnishings, host service and mini refrigerators; daybeds and a retail kiosk.
The Tank is open daily for cabana rentals and swimming from 10a.m. to 6p.m. and 10a.m.-10p.m. for H2O Bar, viewing of The Tank and hot tub access. In addition, non-hotel guests and locals can gain access for $30 per day. Cabanas and daybeds may be rented year-round and rates and availability may vary depending on season and day of week (limited availability and prices subject to change).
The Hideout
Located on the third floor of The Tank, The Hideout is a secluded paradise for guests 21 years old and over and offers a picturesque view of Downtown Las Vegas. Guests can party in style with friends in luxurious cabanas with well-appointed amenities, while enjoying refreshing cocktails. The expansive infinity pool also gives guests a chance to relax in calming waters while enjoying this desert oasis. On weekends, The Hideout will bump up the party with DJ programming featuring the best up-and-coming DJ's on the West Coast.
