Monte Carlo Resort and Casino’s BLVD Plaza was transformed into a festive wedding venue today as it hosted the GEICO Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon’s 10th annual Run Thru Wedding.
Approximately 210 couples comprised of both passionate newlyweds and romantic vow renewals, exchanged “I do’s” at the open-air Strip-side destination. Brides and grooms from around the world, including Australia, Canada, Germany and Brazil gathered to exchange nuptials. Family and friends watched the ceremony officiated by Dao Vu, host of KTNV Channel 13’s popular shows, “The Morning Blend” and “Valley View Live!” and wished the couples well as they joined together in wedded bliss.
Following their declaration of love, one lucky couple won 50,000 Rapid Rewards® Points to use for their honeymoon, courtesy of Southwest Airlines®. Festive confetti canons and hundreds of celebratory bubbles concluded the ceremony as couples were sent off to finish the race.
A DJ got guests dancing both before and after the ceremony by playing upbeat party tunes.
