The Bellagio Fountains Get FUNKY With Bruno Mars!

The Fountains of Bellagio are getting funky. This week, in collaboration with Bruno Mars, Bellagio debuted a new Fountains show to the music of worldwide smash "Uptown Funk," adding to the attraction's collection of iconic songs. Mars was the first to watch the show at a private viewing with friends.

"I think they should change the name to the 'Brunagio'!" said Mars after viewing the show. "Never did I think I would write a song and have it be in a location such as this [the Fountains of Bellagio]. I hope it brings joy to people."

Uptown Funk sparked an international phenomenon inspiring countless tribute videos, remakes and pop culture references. The video, choreographed by Phil Tayag of Las Vegas' resident show Jabbawockeez, earned more than one billion views on YouTube making it the eighth most-viewed YouTube video of all-time.

The mega hit is the newest show choreographed by WET, the original Fountain creators.
WET Executive Designer & Director of Choreography Peter Kopik carefully choreographed the lively show spending nearly a month in front of the Fountains ensuring that each beat was met with the perfect spray, gyre or swirl of water. The fast-paced song is complemented by pulsing lights and dramatic cannons that shoot 460 feet into the air.

Kopik said, "It was exciting to have this opportunity to create such upbeat choreography. Capturing the energy of Uptown Funk was challenging but we are very pleased with the outcome. We believe the world will experience the energy through the visual interpretation in the show as well as the ability of the Fountains of Bellagio to showcase such a vast range of genres."

The Fountains of Bellagio is complimentary with daily performances that rotate more than 30 songs.  The schedule is:

Every 30 minutes:
Monday - Friday, 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday and holidays, noon - 8 p.m.
Sunday, 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Every 15 minutes:
Daily, 8 p.m. - midnight
Sunday, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
