Race To Save A Life/Showdown To Prevent Suicide Takes Place 10/2

Suicide claimed 41,149 lives in 2013 in the United States alone, with someone dying by suicide every 12.8 minutes. A suicide attempt is made every minute of every day, resulting in nearly one million attempts made annually.

When you join in the Second Race To Save A Life/Showdown at Sundown, you join efforts with thousands of people nationwide to raise money for vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives. The race raises awareness about bullying, emotional stressors and suicide to children that are touched by such negative behaviors & to comfort /assistance those who have lost someone to suicide.

A Race To Save A Life#2 on Friday Oct 2nd 2015, making a bold statement as On-Air Personalities of Vegas All Net Radio, the Nascar GMS Racing Team of Spencer Gallagher, Grant Effinger and Brandon Jones as well as the general public race their way through the road course to raise funds and awareness for suicide education and prevention. Race to Save A Life #2 is a fundraising event presented by On Pit Road Racing, The Ladies of On Pit Road Racing, Vegas All Net Radio, Camp MakeBelieve Kids, Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention & The Gene Woods Racing Experience. Mike Fox aka Allen Michaels (On Pit Road Racing Host & CEO)is putting it all on the line, as the drivers will get an opportunity to shave Mike’s hair in the winners circle. Raffle prizes and a live broadcast of the On Pit Road Racing & The Ladies of OPRR radio show will be only a few of the evenings highlights, There will also be a silent auction for some great items..

Gene Woods Racing Experience, named for the racing veteran and three-time champion, packs big racing action into extremely fast high-performance karts that let you battle the other competitors, side by side, just inches off the ground.

The Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to partnering and collaborating with local and state individuals and organizations for the development and implementation of evidence based suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention strategies and programs in the State of Nevada
Participants can register upon arrival at the event The cost is $25 for 1 race.
