Support JDRF & Enjoy GREAT Food At Crazy Pita

During the entire month of September, Crazy Pita will participate in a paper sneaker sales campaign collecting monetary donations for the JDRF Nevada Chapter in support of their in JDRF One Walk™. Through Sept. 30, guests can purchase paper sneaker icons at any three of the Crazy Pita restaurant locations as a direct donation to the charity.

To support the JDRF Nevada Chapter vision to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) Crazy Pita is thrilled to help raise funds and contribute to the charity’s overall goal of $545,000, which will help fund critically needed T1D research. All donations collected at Crazy Pita restaurants will go directly the JDRF Nevada Chapter and their Annual One Walk™ on Nov. 14 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. T1D strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet or lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure.
