In Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 24, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas welcomed the Catch A Fire Tour 2015 featuring reggae artists Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Stephen “Ragga” Marley, Morgan Heritage and Tarrus Riley as part of “Set Your Life to Music” summer concert series at Boulevard Pool. Special guests Jo Mersa, Black Am I, Skip Marley and Jemere Morgan warmed up the crowd before the reggae headliners took the stage. Morgan Heritage and Tarrus Riley rocked the crowd with a contagious set before Grammy award-winning artist and producer Stephen Marley played crowd favorites including “Break Us Apart,” “No Cigarette Smoking” and “Gonna Be Alright.” The set ended with Stephen Marley and Jo Mersa performing an electrifying father-son collaboration, which set the tone for the upcoming performance by Damian Marley, who opened with his recent hit “Make It Bun Dem,” before performing “More Justice” and “Beautiful.”
Upcoming events at Boulevard Pool include the Moon Festival featuring Edison Chen; Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day featuring Flogging Molly with special guest Sean and Zander (Oct. 2); Counting Crows: Somewhere Under Wonderland Tour with special guest Citizen Cope (Oct. 3); Garbage with special guest Torres (Oct. 10); Father John Misty with special guest Mikal Cronin (Oct. 15); and The Neighbourhood with special guests Bad Suns and Hunny (Oct. 30).
