Las Vegas catering company Cut and Taste has been named the official “Heart Chef” for the fifth annual “Flavors of the Heart” event on Saturday, September 19. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Heart Association’s “Teens Cook with Heart” program, which educates local high school students about heart-healthy foods through hands-on cooking instruction.
In their role as Heart Chefs, Cut and Taste’s chef-partners – Alex Barnett, Jeremy Jordan and Adam Pusateri – will raise funds and awareness for Teens Cook with Heart throughout the school year. Past Heart Chefs have included noteworthy culinary leaders such as celebrity chef Carla Pellegrino and Food Network’s “Chopped” champion, Phillip Dell. The campaign kicks off with Flavors of the Heart on Saturday, September 19 from 7-10 p.m. at the World Market Center WorldView Ballroom.
Flavors of the Heart is a heart-healthy culinary event showcasing some of Las Vegas' top chefs and restaurants creating and serving special dishes that are healthy for the heart and still a feast for the taste buds. The event invites Las Vegas residents to discover new restaurants, recipes and ways to live heart healthy. Cookbooks featuring the recipes prepared at the festival will be available for a donation.
For more information on the event, visit www.FlavorsOfTheHeart.com or call (702)789-4383. Tickets are $75 per person; discount packages are available.
