Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has announced the grand opening of its newest fine dining restaurant, Edge Steakhouse. Showcasing an innovative, modern twist on the traditional steakhouse and helmed by award-winning Chef Nick Lees, Edge Steakhouse will open its doors Tuesday, July 28.
“We’re proud to welcome such a prestigious restaurant to the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino,” said David Siegel, CEO and Founder of Westgate Resorts. “Edge Steakhouse is a proven, award-winning steakhouse that will be a wonderful addition to the amenities available to guests at Westgate Las Vegas.”
At Edge Steakhouse, guests will enjoy a cutting-edge culinary experience that blends traditional American steakhouse favorites with an exciting array of specialty appetizers, creative entrées and innovative side dishes. The menu features top quality Aged Prime Steaks, Snake River Farm Wagyu Beef, fresh fish and seafood, and it includes more than a dozen other mouth-watering specialties. Edge Steakhouse also provides a variety of unique tableside dining experiences, including a fresh seafood tower, a tableside prepared Caesar Salad and a delicious array of micro-desserts.
Since its inception in Park City, Utah, in December 2012, Edge Steakhouse has received numerous accolades including awards for “Best Fine Dining Steakhouse” and “Best Overall Restaurant” at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Utah Best of State Awards Gala. Edge Steakhouse has also been recognized by USA Today as a Top 10 restaurant in Park City and has received awards from TripAdvisor, Open Table and Wine Spectator.
In addition to the appetizing menu selections, Edge Steakhouse will feature more than 450 varieties of wine. The wine collection includes Premier Grand Cru Chateux Margaux, Latour, Haut-Brion and Napa Valley favorites such as Screaming Eagle. Nicole Waltrip, Wine Director for Edge Steakhouse in Park City, has been featured in Wine Spectator magazine, and has received the “Wine Spectator Award of Excellence” in 2014 and 2015.
Executive Chef Nick Lees developed a passion for cooking at a young age. Growing up on his grandparents’ fruit farm in Orem, Utah, his grandmother, who he called “Nanny,” was and still is his biggest inspiration for cooking. Chef Lees has worked in some of Utah’s best kitchens, including Tuscany, Log Haven, Boulevard, The Aerie, Creekside, St. Bernard’s, The Yurt and the Tree Room, among others. In 2012, Chef Lees joined the Edge Steakhouse team in Park City, where he was promoted to Executive Chef in 2013. Chef Lees continues to push the envelope with his amazing culinary genius, as is apparent by his collection of awards, including “Best Fine Dining Chef” at the 2013Utah Best of State Awards Gala, the Park City Area Lodging Association’s 2014 “Black Diamond Award” for Best Chef and “Best Chef” in the Best of Park City Awards in 2013 and 2014.
