On
Tuesday, June 30, moviegoers will have the chance to meet “Channing Tatum,” the star of “Magic Mike
XXL,” at Town Square’s AMC Theater, courtesy of Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. Fans
are encouraged to get up close and personal with a dashingly attired—but still
super-hot—wax figure of Tatum. Whether they opt to canoodle with the sexy star,
give him a smooch, slip a hand inside his jacket or, of course, snap a selfie
with him—all is fair game and completely encouraged. His figure will be front
and center on the red carpet at the theater beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday,
June 30, just in time for the first showing of "Magic Magic XXL,"
which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tatum will be on the red carpet until 9
p.m. that night.
Known
for his roles in "Magic Mike" and now its sequel, "Magic Mike
XXL"; "21 Jump Street" reboot and the Oscar-nominated
"Foxcatcher," Tatum will be dressed to thrill in his dapper dark
suit.
Madame
Tussauds has more than 200 years of history and experience in making wax
figures. Each masterpiece takes up to six months and a team of 20 dedicated
artists to create. Based from over 300 precise body measurements, the figure is
first sculpted in clay by hand and covered in a plaster cast. Once the clay is
removed from the cast, the wax is poured in and allowed to cool. Finally, the
figure is fitted with acrylic eyes and teeth; hairs on the head and face are
inserted individually by hand, and countless layers of paints and tints are
applied to build up skin tones – all to achieve an astonishingly lifelike
figure.
Fan
photos with Tatum will be available on Madame Tussauds' Facebook page on July 1
at www.Facebook.com/MadameTussaudsLasVegas.
