Comedian,
actor, writer and radio personality D.L. Hughley will bring his popular
stand-up act to The Orleans Showroom, June 26 and 27.
Hughley
has entertained millions throughout the course of his career with appearances
on daytime, prime-time and late-night television, as well as film and radio,
including a prominent role in the comedy special “The Original Kings of
Comedy.” He also appeared on season 16 of the ABC hit “Dancing with the Stars” alongside
dancing partner Cheryl Burke.
On
television, Hughley was the producer and star of “The Hughleys,” which ran on
ABC and UPN from 1998 through 2002, and was also a series regular on NBC’s
“Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.” He has appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,”
BET’s “S.O.B.: Socially Offensive Behavior,” ABC’s “Who Wants to Be a
Millionaire” and has filmed several comedy specials, including “D.L. Hughley:
Goin’ Home,” “D.L. Hughley Live,” “Shocked & Appalled” and the HBO special
“D.L. Hughley: Unapologetic.”
Additional
television and film credits include “Inspector Gadget,” “Scrubs,” “Scary Movie
3,” “Soul Plane,” “Hawaii Five-O” and “Glory Daze.” In 2012, his one-hour
special, “Reset,” premiered on Showtime. Hughley later went on to co-host a game
show on TBS, “ Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host.”
Hughley
is currently a weekly contributor to the nationally syndicated radio program,
“The Tom Joyner Morning Show.” He
continues to host his own afternoon radio show, “The D.L. Hughley Show.”
In
2012, he released his first humorous book, “I Want You to Shut the F--- Up: How
the Audacity of Dopes is Ruining America.”
Beginning
this fall, Hughley stars as Dr. Hackett on NBC’s new medical drama
“Heartbreakers.”
