On a
recent trip to Las Vegas, singer/song writer Ryan Cabrera visited Sin City’s
new tribute to The King of Rock ‘n Roll: Graceland Presents ELVIS: The
Exhibition. The “On The Way Down” crooner was impressed, even tweeting,
“Absolutely one of the coolest things I've done in Vegas!!” and calling the new
exhibition “a MUST see.”
Graceland’s
first permanent collection outside of the Memphis, TN, Elvis: The Exhibition
opened April 23 at Westgate Las Vegas,
the same hotel where Elvis performed more than 600 record-breaking, sold-out
shows between 1969 and 1976 when it was the International Hotel and then Las
Vegas Hilton.
Cabrera,
who recently topped the charts with his newest single, “House On Fire,” enjoyed
the unprecedented look at the life and career of the legendary performer who
has inspired countless generations of artists. The Las Vegas exhibition
features hundreds of personal items and rare artifacts from the Presley
family’s treasured Graceland Archives, such as as Elvis’ guitar, custom
jumpsuits, handwritten notes and prized vehicles, including a 1957 Harley
Davidson motorcycle, 1962 Lincoln Continental and the 1971 prototype Stutz
Blackhawk.
