Smash
Mouth and Toad the Wet Sprocket join our stellar Rock of Vegas concert series
line-up with a free show on June 27, 2015 at 9:00 p.m.
These
bands will perform on our 1st Street stage, near Binion's and Golden Nugget.
Smash
Mouth is a pop music powerhouse, perhaps best known for their chart-topping
hits, "Walkin' in the Sun" and "All Star," from their
second album, Astro Lounge.
Smash
Mouth features Steve Harwell, Paul De Lisle, Michael Klooster, Jason Sutter and
Sean Hurwitz.
The
group has also made hits out of covers, including "Can't Get Enough of You
Baby" (originally by Question Mark & the Mysterians) and "I'm a
Believer" (originally by the Monkees), highlighted in "Shrek."
Alt
rock's Toad the Wet Sprocket have a string of chart-topping hits including,
"Walk on the Ocean," "Something’s Always Wrong," "Fall
Down" and "All I Want."
The
band, a group of high school friends, formed in 1986. The group's first album,
Bread & Circus, was released in 1989. The follow-up, Pale, came out in
1990. Their third album (fear) hit in a big way, with "All I Want"
and "Walk on the Ocean" taking them to the top of the charts.
Toad
the Wet Sprocket includes Glen Phillips (lead vocals, guitar), Dean Dinning
(bass), Todd Nichols (lead guitar) and Randy Guss (drums).
