One Nevada Credit will be hosting their Spring shred event at its
Summerlin branch. The community-wide event will be held on Friday, April 24
from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 7450 W. Lake Mead Blvd, Suite 1, rain or shine.
Assured
Document Destruction will be on-site to safely and properly dispose of personal
documents including recyclable paper products, magazine, envelopes and newspapers. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard
will not be accepted.
The
shred event is free, but donations are welcome. One Nevada has partnered with
local nonprofit, The Shade Tree to collect donations. Items of need include
women’s hygiene products and toiletries, bed sheets, bottled water, boys and
girls underwear and other items listed as “urgent needs” under the “Get
Involved” tab at theshadetree.org.
Members
and nonmembers of the credit union are encouraged to bring up to three boxes or
bags of personal documents.
“We are looking forward to giving our members
and the community the opportunity to dispose of confidential documents for
free, while protecting them from the possibility of identify theft,” said Mary
Bishop, One Nevada Summerlin Branch Manager. “We are always pleased to partner
with a local nonprofit and encourage our community to donate as a way of giving
back for the free shred services.”
With
$800 million in assets, One Nevada Credit Union is the largest locally owned,
federally insured Credit Union in the state. It is one of the strongest,
well-capitalized credit unions in the country with more 10.9% net worth. One
Nevada has 15 branches and over 60 ATMs and serves over 76,000 members.
Membership is open to all residents of Clark County, Washoe County and Nye
