Springs Preserve is a 180-acre attraction in Las Vegas, featuring botanical
gardens, museums, family events, traveling exhibits, trails and other

Preserve Summer Fun Camps
We’re
made for adventure at the Springs Preserve—Las Vegas’ ultimate kids’ nature
playground! Choose from 11 awesome adventures in 2015—every week features new,
learning- and nature-based adventure themes. Dinosaurs, Animal Safari, Under
the Sea, Mojave Music and Superheroes & Villains are just a few of the
weekly themes - see them all at springspreserve.org. Every camp week ALSO
includes cool explorations at the Preserve and Nevada State Museum; acting
twice a week with Drama Kids International; swimming Fridays at the YMCA;
animal shows with a special keeper Q & A; guest speakers; a weekly gardens
class and visits to the Nature Exchange; crafts, games and a week-long project
aligned with every theme. Ages 6 - 12. Campers must bring a nonperishable lunch
and any desired snacks daily, and swimsuit/towel on Fridays. 11 one-week
sessions, June 8-August 21, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Optional
extended care: 6:30 - 9 a.m., 4 - 6:30 p.m. $200 per week / $250 per week with
extended care members; $225 per week /
$275 per week with extended care non-members.

‘Ohana
Festival
The
Springs Preserve 'Ohana Festival is a family-friendly celebration of Hawaiian
and Pacific Islander culture.
Commemorating
Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month and highlighting the importance of 'ohana
(family) in Pacific Island cultures, the third annual Springs Preserve 'Ohana
Festival event will feature great food, live music, an outdoor luau with kids'
games, and more! Meanwhile, grown-ups ages 21 and over can purchase beer and
tropical drinks at The Thirsty Tiki featuring Maui Brewing beers and Mai Tais
by Divine Cafe. Live entertainment will include performances by Kailiha'o Hula,
9th Island Serenaders and Las Vegas Ukulele Club, slack-key guitarists Kevin
and Ikaika Brown, and more!
This event is supported by the generous
contributions of sponsors NV Energy and Sunny 106.5. Saturday, May 9, 10
a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 children age 5-12, four and

Mother's
Day Brunch in the Divine Cafe
Toast
Mom, then treat her to Sunday-brunch delicacies and live music at the Divine
Cafe at the Springs Preserve.
The
Mother's Day Brunch celebrates mothers with a tantalizing menu featuring: NY
strip and pork carving station; made-to-order omelets; waffles; salad bar;
pasta; assorted decadent desserts; fresh juices, coffee, hot tea, and mimosas
for adults. Sweeping city views and garden blooms create the perfect setting to
honor special ladies. Sunday May 10, reservations are available for 10 a.m. and
1 p.m. Brunch is $29 for adults, $10 for children ages 5-10 (plus tax) and free
for kids 4 and under. Springs Preserve members receive 10% off. Reservations

Ice
Cream Festival
Sweet
treats and yummy eats will be on the menu as we host our annual all-you-can-eat
Ice Cream Festival. The family-friendly event will feature stations serving ice
cream cones, sundaes, novelties and root beer floats, with entertainment for
all ages including airbrush tattoos, a photo booth, a petting zoo, family
bingo, and a bubble play station. Vote online (before May 4) in our
"People's Pick" Flavor Poll and help us decide which new flavor we
should serve at this year's Ice Cream Festival. This event is supported by the
generous contributions of our sponsors Wynn Las Vegas, Smith’s Food & Drug
Stores, East West Bank, as well as our special sample booths by Blue Bell Ice
Cream and Road Ice Cream & Sorbet. Saturday, May 23, 2015, 10 a.m. - 4 .m.
Admission is $10 for adults and $8 children age 5-12, four and under are free.
Preserve members receive half off admission. Tickets are available at
springspreserve.org and at the ticket window. This event is VERY likely to sell
out. It is recommended that you purchase tickets in advance.
Brews
and Blues
Red-hot
blues and ice-cold brews are on tap for our sixth annual Brews and Blues
Festival. Brews and Blues offers up beers from numerous local, regional,
domestic and international brewers at the Springs Preserve. Each entry includes
a sampling mug and unlimited beer samples. Live music will include John Earl's
Boogieman Band, The Diane Kallay Band, and Mississippi-based The Homemade Jamz
Blues Band. A portion of ticket sales benefit Keep Memory Alive which supports
the mission of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in
downtown Las Vegas. This event is open to guests 21 and over. Springs Preserve
members receive $5 off general admission and VIP tickets. Tickets can be
purchased online, at the Springs Preserve ticketing window, or at participating
Lee's Discount Liquor locations. This event is supported by the generous
contributions of our sponsors: NV Energy and Southern Wine and Spirits of
Nevada. Saturday, May 30, 2015, 4 - 8 p.m. General Admission is $35 in advance,
$40 day of event (if available). VIP Admission is $75 and includes access to an
indoor lounge. $15 Designated Driver Ticket includes access to entertainment
and a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage.
Southern
Paiute Cultural Sharing
Local
tribe members share stories, traditional arts and crafts, food customs,
drumming and dancing. Funded in part by Nevada Humanities. Join us Saturdays,
May 2, 9, 16 and 23, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free for Springs Preserve members or with
general admission.
Butterfly
Habitat Spring Season
We're
all aflutter! Hundreds of butterflies
and an array of plants have returned to our seasonal exhibit! Wander through
our unique Butterfly Habitat and witness the fascinating dance between
free-flying butterflies and the plants that sustain them. You’ll emerge with a
better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these spectacular
animals. The habitat will be open daily 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. through May 31 while
weather permits. The habitat is located in the southern end of the Botanical
Gardens, just south of the Gardens Arboretum. There is a separate entrance fee
to enter the habitat: $3 for non-members; $2 for members. All guests ages 2 and
up must be ticketed.

Chefs Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve
Join
us Thursdays for "local farm fresh goodness" at the outdoor Green
Chefs Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve. Featuring a cornucopia of local
and regional produce, plants, herbs, homemade baked goods, honey, and more. Fun
at the market includes gardening workshops, cooking demonstrations and kids'
activities. Open Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. outside in the Desert Living
Center Courtyard. Access to the market is free. Purchases are cash only. For

the Trails - Train and Bike Rides

THE TRAIN: $3 members, $5 non-members. Take a narrated ride on our life-size
locomotive around the historic 2.2 mile Exploration Trail. DAILY. Check onsite

The Exhibition
The
delicious phenomenon we call "chocolate" has fascinated humans for thousands
of years. Engage your senses and uncover the rich history of this sumptuous
sweet we crave! Chocolate and its national tour were developed by the Field
Museum, Chicago. This exhibition was supported, in part,by the National Science
Foundation. Sponsored locally by Ethel M Chocolates. Exhibit on display daily through May 3. This

Preserve Photo Contest Exhibition
Observe
how professional, amateur and youth photographers have captured
"Celebrations and Traditions." That's the theme of our sixth photo
contest, which has produced some of the most enduring images to grace our
galleries. Who won Best in Show? Come find out!. Exhibit on display in the Big
Springs Gallery daily through June 21.This exhibit is free for Springs Preserve

Butterfly
Gardens Art
Let
these 12 delightful, metal, swallowtail butterflies artfully guide you through
our Botanical Gardens! Local sculptor Miguel Rodriquez fabricated these flights
of fancy, which then were painted by local artists. This exhibit on display
daily in the Botanical Gardens is free for Springs Preserve members or with
general admission.
Metamorphosis
of Scrap
From
the bighorn sheep sculptures seen along valley highways to more abstract
pieces, Ramon Sanchez of P & S Metals turns scrap metal and steel into art.
See his transformational work throughout our Botanical Gardens! This exhibit on display daily in the
Botanical Gardens is free for Springs Preserve members or with general
admission.

Science MANIA
Back
by popular demand! Mad Scientists have returned to the Springs Preserve! This
live, interactive show invites YOU into the "lab" for weird, wild and
wonderful science fun. Young Einsteins can come back over and over: We have NEW
experiments and explosive antics every month! Two shows presented weekends and
select school holidays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., through May 31. Free for Springs

General
Admission (GA) for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students,
seniors, teachers and military, $4.95 for children ages 5 – 17, kids 4 and
under are free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State
Museum, open Thursday through Monday. Admission for nonresidents adults is
$18.95, $17.05 seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages 5 – 17,
kids 4 and under are free. Special event and class admission prices vary and
can be found at springspreserve.org.

Springs
Preserve memberships are the perfect way to share the Springs Preserve with
family and friends and are available on-line or at the Springs Preserve
Ticketing Office. All memberships include year-round access to the Springs
Preserve (half-off admission to select special events), early hours entry to
gardens and trails, discounts to classes, workshops, the Gift Shop, access to
the Nevada State Museum, and a subscription to the Springs Preserve member newsletter.
There are a variety of gift options to choose from starting with an Individual
membership ($25), a Family membership ($60) which includes two (2) adults and
up to 6 children or grandchildren in same household ages 5 - 17 (children 4 and
under are always free), or a Bronze Family membership ($100) which includes all
member benefits plus extras including free stroller rental, preferred parking,
