On
Thursday, April 16, Chef Daniel Boulud received the prestigious Dom PĂ©rignon
Award of Excellence during UNLVino’s Bubble-Licious at The Venetian® Las Vegas.
The James Beard Award winning chef was surrounded by his esteemed colleagues
and guests when he was honored for his work as a hospitality industry leader, a
recognition bestowed to culinary mavericks by UNLVino.
Chef
Daniel Boulud, who has the award-winning restaurant, db Brasserie at The
Venetian said, “This award of excellence is certainly one of the finest awards
you can receive if you are in the hospitality industry.”

wines under the gorgeous desert sky at The Venetian's picturesque Doge's
Palace. The Venetian’s world-class eateries, including db Brasserie, Yardbird
Southern Table & Bar, Lagasse’s Stadium, Carlo’s Bakery and Sushi Samba to
name a few also provided hors d’oeuvres.
In
addition to his award, Chef Boulud was surprised with a belated birthday treat,
a lavish cake created by fellow Venetian Las Vegas restaurateur and “Cake Boss”
Buddy Valastro. Boulud’s birthday is March 25.
