Seventh
annual Paint the Town fine art fundraising gala to benefit Aid for AIDS of
Nevada (AFAN)
Support
HIV/AIDS awareness, celebrate creativity and bid on original artwork at the
seventh annual Paint the Town gala benefitting Aid for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN),
hosted by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Friday, May 8, from 8-11 p.m.
Previously only open to invited guests, this is the first year the event is
open to the public.
Spearheaded
by the Las Vegas office of Snell & Wilmer, including firm partners Michael
Stein and Marek Bute, Paint the Town features curated works of art from
international artists for guests to bid on throughout the night. The $25
general admission ticket price will go towards a bid on any piece priced above
$200. Confirmed artists selected by The
Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas include past and upcoming P3Studio
artists-in-residence including JK Russ, Paula Wilson, Pearl Hsiung, Justin
Favela, Nao Uda, Brent Sommerhauser and Jerry Misko, Zak Ostrowski and
Alexander Lee along with Juan Muniz, Shawn Hummel, Heather Hermann, Melissa
Herrington and Art Wolfe.
A portion of proceeds from the evening will
benefit AFAN's client service programs that assist in enhancing the physical
health and wellness of the local community they serve.
Scott Conant's award-winning restaurants
Scarpetta and D.O.C.G. will provide light bites and all guests will be entered
to win prizes sponsored by The Cosmopolitan including a complimentary two-night
stay along with spa and dining packages.
