Las
Vegas is known as the “Entertainment Capital Of The World” thanks to the people
who have made it their life’s work to entertain. Here’s a look at a few of
these ambassadors of fun who leave a lasting impression on the city’s more than
41 million visitors each year.
Shark
Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay gives guests the opportunity to get up close and
personal with its Animal Encounters Program and one of the experts behind this
thrilling experience is General Curator Jack Jewell. Jewell uses his passion
and knowledge of the ocean’s inhabitants to educate visitors while throwing in
a few once-in-a-lifetime activities along the way. Visitors can choose to
personally feed one of the Aquarium’s resident stingrays, sea turtles or zebra
sharks. www.sharkreef.com/

No
night is complete without an awe-inspiring show put on by artists from around
the world who showcase their craft on the stages of Las Vegas. Michael Jackson
ONE by Cirque du Soleil at Mandalay Bay incorporates the talents and colorful
energy of 63 performers who take the audience on a musical journey honoring one
of the greatest entertainers of all time through the use of aerial
performances, acrobatics and unparalleled dance moves. Another multi-sensory
experience can be found at KÀ inside MGM Grand where an international cast of
80 performers combines acrobatics, aerial stunts and martial arts on the 360-degree
rotating stage as they take guests on a heroic journey culminating with a
breathtaking battle scene. www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/shows/michael-jackson-one/default.aspx
Hecho
en Vegas at MGM Grand serves up authentic Sonoran cuisine and the man behind
this spicy venue is Executive Chef Reed Osterholt. Chef Reed began his culinary
career as a young teenager and turned his passion into a success story by
developing the menu and overseeing the daily kitchen operations for the new
cantina-style restaurant. Serving up the best in Mexican flare, Hecho’s menu
includes hand-made tamales, the 702 Salsa (a spicy blend of fresh tomatoes and
spices served with house-made tortilla chips) and chicken, carne asada, pork
carnitas and shredded beef Chimichangas. www.mgmgrand.com/restaurants/
