Springs Preserve is observing fall/winter hours seven days a week from 10 a.m.
- 4 p.m. until Saturday, March 7. Starting Sunday, March 8 we will observe
spring/summer hours seven days a week 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Hours vary for classes
and special events. Gardens and trails close at 4 p.m. or dusk (whichever comes
first). Please note the Nevada State Museum is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday -
Monday.

Gras Vegas

les bons temps rouler ("let the good times roll") as we celebrate
Cajun and Creole cuisine, music and culture at Mardi Gras Vegas! Featuring live
music by Strip Kings, Southern style food from local eateries, a beer garden
for the adults, and crafts for the kids, the family-friendly Mardi Gras Vegas
will bring the tastes and sounds of the Louisiana bayou and the colors and fun
of Mardi Gras to the heart of the Southern Nevada desert. Saturday, March 7,
2015, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults and children age 5-12, four
and under are free. Tickets are available at springspreserve.org and at the
ticket window.
Butterfly
Habitat Spring Season
We're
all aflutter! Hundreds of butterflies
and an array of plants have returned to our seasonal exhibit! Wander through
our unique Butterfly Habitat and witness the fascinating dance between
free-flying butterflies and the plants that sustain them. You’ll emerge with a
better understanding of the environment needed for the survival of these
spectacular animals. Starting March 14 - May 31 the habitat will be open daily
10 a.m. - 3 p.m. while weather permits. The habitat is located in the southern
end of the Display Gardens, just south of the Gardens Arboretum. There is a
separate entrance fee to enter the habitat: $3 for non-members; $2 for members.
All guests ages 2-up must be ticketed.
Spring
Preserve Plant Sale and Green Living Expo
Purchase
native and desert-adapted plants—many not available in local garden outlets—at
our annual Spring Plant Sale and Green Living Expo! Ask our staff experts your
questions about plant care, view demos, visit with our expo exhibitors and much
more. Guests are encouraged to bring their own wagons to transport purchases to
their vehicles. March 21 - 22, 2015, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Preview Saturday at 7
a.m. for Springs Preserve members). Free admission.
Run
Away with Cirque du Soleil
Join
dozens of artists from Cirque du Soleil's Las Vegas shows and more than 1,000
community members for a 5K run or 1-mile fun walk at Run Away with Cirque du
Soleil at the Springs Preserve. Enjoy photo ops with Cirque du Soleil
characters, face painting, a children's play area, and more! All proceeds
support the Cirque du Soleil and Springs Preserve Foundations. Saturday, March
28, 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. Through March 1: $37 for 5K and $27 for 1 mile fun walk.

Spend
your most awesome Spring Break ever at the Springs Preserve! It's YOUR time to
explore, play and learn. Have the coolest, "greenest" Spring Break
ever with awesome eco-fun at the Springs Preserve! It's Las Vegas' ultimate
kids' nature playground. Activities revolve around different green themes each
day: Monday - Water, Tuesday - Solar, Wednesday - Soil, Thursday - Plants, and
Friday - Recycling. Also enjoy acting with Drama Kids, museums and more! Ages 6
- 12. Monday, March 30 - Friday, April 3, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. $200 per week for members, $225 for

Chefs Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve

us Thursdays for "local farm fresh goodness" at the outdoor Green
Chefs Farmers Market at the Springs Preserve. Featuring a cornucopia of local
and regional produce, plants, herbs, homemade baked goods, honey, goat's milk
soap, and more. Fun at the market includes gardening workshops, cooking
demonstrations and kids' activities. Open Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. outside

delicious phenomenon we call "chocolate" has fascinated humans for

our Big Springs Gallery to explore the best artwork and writing from local

these 12 delightful, metal, swallowtail butterflies artfully guide you through

the big horn sheep sculptures along valley highways to more abstract pieces,

Day At The Springs Preserve: Photography Event
Learn
photography tips from top professionals! In partnership with Canon USA and
B&C Camera, the Springs Preserve will host a Macro and Nature Photography
Lecture. There’s no better setting than the Springs Preserve to try out your
new photo knowledge. Bring your camera to photograph all the color in the
Preserve’s Botanical Gardens and Trails, or borrow a camera! Canon camera and
lenses will also be available for loan from 9 am-3 pm (limited availability,
loan time limits may apply based on demand).
Some restrictions apply: Loaned cameras/lenses are for use only on the
Springs Preserve property, and you must present a current U.S. driver’s license
or I.D. along with a valid major credit card. All cameras must be returned at
the end of the loan period. Loaner cameras will not contain memory cards, so
please bring your own memory card to save your shoot images. Saturday, March

Admission (GA) for Nevada residents is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for students,
seniors, teachers and military, $4.95 for children ages 5 – 17, kids 4 and
under are free. General admission also includes access to the Nevada State
Museum, open Thursday through Monday. Admission for nonresidents adults is
$18.95, $17.05 seniors, students and military, $10.95 for children ages 5 – 17,
kids 4 and under are free. Special event and class admission prices vary and

Ticketing Office. All memberships include year-round access to the Springs
Preserve (half-off admission to select special events), early hours entry to

the Nevada State Museum, and a subscription to the Springs Preserve member

Individual membership ($25), a Family membership ($60) which includes two (2)
