Take
a number! Local restaurateur Sami Ladeki has introduced an exciting new
concept, Table 89, a fast-casual dining experience that debuted this week at
7160 North Durango Dr. in Centennial Hills.
“Like
our other restaurants, Table 89 serves fresh and flavorful cuisine,” said
Ladeki, owner and founder of Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill. “What makes
Table 89 different is the convenience of fast service; with countertop ordering
for guests.”
An
ode to Ladeki’s first restaurant, which opened in 1989, Table 89 serves a wide
selection of new small plates, soups, sandwiches, entrees, salads, pizzas,
pastas and desserts. Like all of Ladeki’s restaurants, Table 89 uses local,
organic and nutritionally-balanced ingredients to create globally-inspired
cuisine. After ordering and paying at the counter, guests may either take their
food to-go or take a number and dine at the restaurant. Ladeki worked
hand-in-hand with Corporate Executive Chef Jeff Moogk on the menu for his
newest concept in dining.
“We
wanted to create the type of food where families could stop in and order
healthy meals on-the-go,” says Moogk. “We’ve worked in this business a long
time and feel like this is something diners are looking for in our busy world.”
Table
89’s menu includes salads, priced starting at $8, including the Thai shrimp
salad, made with organic Bibb lettuce, romaine, bean sprouts, organic spinach,
peanuts, tomatoes, green onions, carrots, mint, crispy wontons and a spicy
ginger dressing; and the market salad, a mix of tomatoes, red onions,
cucumbers, radishes, edamame, chopped lettuce, gorgonzola and Kalamata olives
topped with a citrus-dijon vinaigrette; among others. Soups will be priced
between $5 and $6 along with small plates, priced between $4 and $6, including:
goat cheese and tomato flatbread; hummus with extra-virgin olive oil and
grilled herb flatbread; and meatballs with marinara, among others.
Between
Bread sandwich selections are priced at $10 and served with a choice of
house-made potato chips or coleslaw. Varieties include: a steak and watercress
sandwich featuring herb-marinated steak grilled medium-rare, topped with
organic watercress, horseradish aioli and sliced tomato on multigrain or plan
ciabatta bread; a grilled chicken and hummus wrap loaded with roasted red
peppers, Kalamata olives, romaine and extra-virgin olive oil in lavash; and
mini Kobe beef hamburgers topped with chipotle aioli and gorgonzola or cheddar
cheese; among others.
Table
89 offers entrées priced between $11 and $12 including: shrimp and curry tofu
bowl prepared in a wok with bell peppers, onion, cabbage, mushroom, bean
sprouts, carrots and soft noodles in a Thai yellow curry sauce; and herb-marinated
sliced steak grilled medium-rare and served with warm beluga lentils with
sherry vinegar and extra-virgin olive oil; among others. A selection of
“woodfired” pizzas inspired by Sammy’s will be available such as prosciutto
pear, margherita, meatball and bell pepper and New York style.
Desserts
include salted caramel pudding, a Callebaut double-chocolate brownie, a variety
of cakes and assorted daily warm cookies. A children’s menu offers guests aged
10 and under a variety of choices such as pizzas, sliders and vegetables.
Parents and other diners aged 21 and older may select from a variety of red and
white wines by the glass or carafe and beer by the pint or pitcher.
Table
89 is designed to embrace the abundant natural light of Las Vegas with oversized
windows and an open layout. An array of tables and booths are spread throughout
a winding room with touches of a ‘natural’ theme including mimicked grass
floorboards, plant artwork, wooden tables and a sleek tile floor. With more
than 160 seats throughout the restaurant, Table 89 can comfortably seat groups.
Outdoor dining is available on a spacious patio surrounded by palm trees and
lush landscaping, with oversized umbrellas on each table.
Ladeki
operates 19 Sammy’s locations throughout Las Vegas, Southern California and
Sacramento along with Roppongi Restaurant & Sushi Bar in San Diego. Ladeki
was named “Restaurateur of the Year’ by the San Diego chapter of the California
Restaurant Association (CRA) in 2014.
