More
than 750 of the most coveted vintage motorcycles will be auctioned at the South
Point Hotel during the 24th Annual MidAmerica Antique Motorcycle Auction
presented by Mecum Auctions.
The event features some of the world’s most
sought after motorcycle collections, including Jerry Lee Lewis’ 1959
Harley-Davidson, which Lewis has owned since becoming a household name. Lewis’
bike will be on display and for sale during the Mecum Kissimmee Auction.
Sharing the spotlight will be classics from the Shane Van Pelt Collection, the
personal collection of Don Andress, owner and operator of the Las Vegas
Harley-Davidson dealership, the David Silver Spares Collection as well as the
Buddy Stubbs Collection.
In
addition, on display will be the original 1966 Harley-Davidson CRTT, which is
one of only six Harley-Davidson factory team CRTT bikes built and documented as
having been ridden by National Champion Racer Mert Lawwill. Vintage motorcycle
enthusiasts also have the opportunity to bid on the original stunt bike ridden
by Gary Davis and used in the 1990 Marvel Comics ‘Captain America’ movie.
