Everything For The Holidays At The Venetian & The Palazzo



A HOLIDAY ROUND UP: 
Guests looking for yuletide revelry will find plenty of activity at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas this holiday season.

DECKING THE HALLS
The festive 65-foot-tall Venetian-inspired Christmas Tree is the centerpiece of Doge’s Palace plaza during the holidays.  The tree is lit with 50,000 programmable LED lights, which bring an ever-changing rainbow of color to the popular gathering spot.  The tree is adorned with more than 5,000 ornaments and weighs more than 12,000 lbs. It takes approximately 12 people nearly three days to install.

Inside, the Waterfall Atrium & Gardens at The Palazzo will be transformed into an elaborate show-stopping winter display, a creation of The Palazzo’s award-winning horticulture team.   The winter gardens will feature white poinsettias accented with champagne, gold and green.  Ice branches and 20-foot frosted birch, pine and glittering trees will complement the picturesque scene, including the waterfall and crystal “ice” ponds.  Majestic hand-crafted white and pearl peacock statues will overlook guests.

ON STAGE: ‘CHRISTMAS MOTOWN AND MORE’
Vocal sensations and Vegas headliners Human Nature will perform a brand new show “Christmas, Motown and More” for twelve dates at The Venetian Las Vegas this holiday season, Dec. 12-24.

With an 11-piece band and special guest performances from Robin Meade, country music artist and host of HLN Network’s “Morning Express”, the acclaimed group will perform holiday hits from their new chart-topping Christmas album.

Voted Las Vegas’ #1 vocal group, the wildly popular Australian pop group will feature “Please Come Home For Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Silent Night - O Holy Night” and “Winter Wonderland.” In addition to the holiday standards, they will also perform the Motown classics they have become famous for, including “My Girl” and “Reach Out I’ll Be There.” The blending of holiday cheer with Human Nature’s signature Motown sound makes “Christmas, Motown and More” the ultimate family Christmas show on The Strip.

NEW YEAR’S EVE AT TAO
For New Year’s Eve, TAO will feature the 1920s speakeasy-themed Snoopadelic Cabaret, featuring entertainment icon Snoop Dogg.

The night includes a two-hour premium open bar from 9-11 pm, three hours of heavily passed hor d’oeuvres from 9-midnight and a champagne toast at midnight.  The downstairs restaurant will be transformed into the Boss Lady Lounge and will include an appearance by Snoop in addition to his DJ set and performance in the club space.  The ticket is also good for free entry into LAVO after midnight.

NEW YEAR’S EVE AT LAVO

The Venetian will bring back many of its must-see stand-up comedy acts to the Sands Showroom throughout the holiday season, including Whitney Cummings and Lisa Lampanelli.  LIPSHTICK - THE PERFECT SHADE OF STAND UP is a resident comedy series that marks the first time in the storied entertainment history of Las Vegas that the comedy stage will be taken exclusively by female performers.

Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich’s B&B Ristorante will feature a traditional Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes.  “No one's quite sure of the significance of the number of courses," said  Mario Batali on epicurious.com. "Some families do seven [courses] for the sacraments. Some do ten for the stations of the cross.
