40 Is
Not The New 20
Riviera
Comedy Club
Monday
through Saturday (dark Sunday)
10
p.m.
Tickets:
$40 plus tax and applicable fees.
Starring 25-year comedy veteran Matt Kazam in a hysterically funny, 70 minute
one-man stand-up comedy production, 40 Is Not The New 20 explores how much the
world has changed in the past 40 plus years. If you remember the boom box, “Pac
Man,” the Rubik’s Cube and when there were only three stations on television,
this show is for you. It puts the notion that 40 is the new 20 on trial and
breaks down the concept into categories such as technology, the media, politics,
relationships, our priorities and even how our bodies have changed over the
years. Everyday topics like marriage,
parenting, work, commuting, bills and exercise, just to name a few, will be
compared and contrasted though the eyes of a 40 year old.
Matt
Kazam has performed in many of America’s top comedy clubs, casinos and
theaters. With more than 6,000 stand-up performances in 45 states under his
belt, Kazam has the ability to work any crowd in any venue. A New York native,
Kazam began performing shows for his family and friends at the age of three,
but it wasn’t until graduating college that he took the plunge as a full-time
comedian. He’s made several television appearances, including NBC’s “Last Comic
Standing,” FOX’s “Big Red Couch” and “Comedy Central’s “Stand-up Stand-up,”
among others. He’s opened for such notable acts as Chris Rock, Pauly Shore,
Kevin James, Robin Williams, DL Hughley and Drew Carey.

Ken
Rogerson, the funniest man you’ve never heard of, started his comedy career
working the Chicago club circuit and at the famed Second City. After touring with the improvisational troupe
The Comedy Rangers, Ken moved east and became a central part of the now famous and
infamous exploding Boston comedy scene of the 1980’s. There he honed his standup act to a fine
edge. Just off his third Rescue Me
Comedy Tour, an appearance at “Comics Come Home” Showtime’s “When Standup Stood
Out” and most recently seen on CNN
Comedy and at the TBS LOL Lounge from The Comedy Festival in Vegas, you may
have also seen him as “Kevin the Biker Fireman” on F/X’s hit show “Rescue Me”
starring Denis Leary or as “Pat the Cop” on ABC’s “It’s All Relative” with
Lenny Clarke. He has also made numerous other television appearances on such
shows as NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Late Show with David
Letterman,” and Showtime’s “A Pair of
Jokes” just to name a few. A writer,
sketch player, actor and comedian, Ken wrote and starred in comedy film pieces
on Fox Television Network’s “Sunday Comics” and has made film appearances in
“Fever Pitch” and “There’s Something About Mary.”
Derek
Richards’ act is fast, fresh and at times, fanatical. He brings the funny with
tales about his blue-collar upbringing, his mom's dog, the holidays and dating
an exotic dancer. A veteran of several USO tours, Richards was chosen as one of
the first performers at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and has performed at United States
base camps in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Africa. Richards has released two live
CDs, “Sensitivity Training” and “Who’s Your Daddy,” and is heard regularly on
