JOIN! The 5th Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade on Friday, Oct. 31.

Halloween will be parading in Downtown Las Vegas, as residents from all over the valley show off the outrageous, the silly and the frightening at the 5th Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade on Friday, Oct. 31.  The parade is set to be a star-studded affair with guest judges, celebrity emcee and parade queen.  Returning for the second year in a row, the stunning Claire Sinclair, Playboy's 2011 Playmate of the Year® and star of “Pin Up” at Stratosphere, will serve as Queen of the Las Vegas Halloween Parade.  Twenty-five year comedy veteran and new Las Vegas resident Matt Kazam, star of “40 Is Not the New 20” at the Riviera Hotel & Casino, will bring his family-friendly and outrageous humor as the emcee of the parade, while Dirk Vermin, Las Vegas tattoo icon and star of “Bad Ink” on A&E as well as Heather Collins, mid-day radio personality on The Mix 94.1 serve as judges for the costume contest.

The Las Vegas Halloween Parade will turn downtown into a “spook-tacular” experience for guests of all ages.  Everyone costumed can walk in the parade along historic Fremont Street East.  The parade line-up begins at 4 p.m. on East Fremont and 13th St. and begins promptly at 7 p.m. moving west along Fremont Street East to the after event in the Fremont East area.

Participants in the free costume contest participate for bragging rights and an exclusive trophy.  Prizes will be awarded in the following categories – The Stitch Factory’s Most Creative Costume,  Best Group Costume, Best Float/Art Car, Best Illuminated Costume, Best Costume for kids 10 years or younger and Most Outrageous Costume.

All individuals or non-business groups are invited to participate in the parade for free.  Politicians, businesses and other advertisements or any promotions must pay a fee and register.  People wishing to compete in special categories such as costume contest & Best Float/Art Car, must register on line or in person.

The streets of the Fremont East Entertainment District will be closed to traffic & the bars of Fremont East will be part of the Las Vegas Halloween Parade after-event, which will feature food, dancing & fun until 3 a.m.
