Garrett
Wiles of Boulder City (Super Pro) and Erik Marsik of Washington, Utah, (Pro)
won their respective classes in the final E.T. Bracket Series points race of
the season Saturday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Tristan
Craig of Henderson took top honors in the Sportsman class but the surprise
winner of the day was Las Vegas’ Greg Hicks in Motorcycle. Hicks, who usually
races in the Super Pro class, had never raced his Harley-Davidson Street Glide
until Saturday. After making one practice run, Hicks posted three consecutive
wins and captured the trophy.
Hicks
turned in a pass of 15.62 seconds at 66.38 mph and defeated Justin King of
Henderson in the final.
Wiles
defeated Terry Souza of Las Vegas with a pass of 7.498 seconds at 169.74 mph in
the Super Pro final.
Marsik
claimed the Pro title when Cliff Ricci of Las Vegas fouled in the final. Marsik
went on to lay down a run of 10.172 at 130.78 mph.
Craig
won the Sportsman class with a run of 12.039 seconds at 109.99 mph in the final
against fellow Henderson resident Jon Irving.
