Downtown
Spaces, the community of creative workspaces recently named the “Best Downtown
Art Hive” by Vegas Seven and “Creative Zone to Know” by Vegas/Rated, will once
again host a special evening on First Friday as its resident galleries and
businesses open their doors for visitors to enjoy fresh art, live music, and
special events. Highlights will include:
The
grand opening of Cerebro Studios, home of the Brain Jelly Music collective,
featuring art by TG Miller (from Black Camaro), Andie, Omnicon and live music
from Brain Jelly artists
Wasteland
Gallery hosts “Paper Cuts,” a new art show by Crystal Taylor, with special
musical guests Lawn Mower Death Riders
Spectral
Gallery will feature new works and prints by Jska Priebe and Mike & Dasha
Biggs
Urizen
Gallery will feature new works from artist-owners Benito and Kortnie
Colón-Contreras
ISI
Group, named “Best Art in Your Nightlife/Nightlife in Your Art” by Vegas Seven,
opens the doors of its eponymous art gallery and studio
Ortego’s
Juniper Gallery will feature artwork by a variety of artists, including Matt
Ortego, Erika Allison and Alejandro Aranda
Las
Vegas Burlesque Studio is offering a pastie-making workshop from 7-9 p.m. ($35
fee)
DJ
and singer-songwriter Peter Stauber will perform on the outdoor Stagecoach
