Boxing
legends, including retired Panamanian professional boxer Roberto Duran and
former multi-weight world champion Mike McCallum, and fans, including Actress
Rosie Perez celebrated at the 2014 Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame VIP Welcome
Reception, held at BLVD. Cocktail Company www.blvdcocktail.com in Las Vegas,
Friday night.
Also,
spotted at the reception were retired boxing referee Richard Steele,
professional boxing referee Kenny Bayless. Uganda’s boxing legend Cornelius
Boza Edwards, undefeated American boxer Jessie Vargas, American sportscaster
Barry Tompkins, George Foreman’s sons George Foreman Jr. and George Foreman IV
and Mike Tyson’s wife Kiki Tyson.
Throughout
the celebratory evening, guests congratulated and toasts flowed for the 2014
Hall of Fame inductees’ achievements.
Guests sipped Absolut Elyx cocktails and Perrier-Jouët champagne, noshed
on home cooked cuisine by TC’s Rib Crib, and the sounds of Michael Spadoni
filled the room, offering the perfect ambiance for the intimate gathering.
Inductees
will be honored by the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame Saturday night at the
organization’s annual Induction Ceremony.
