With
over 23 years’ experience in the music industry, Matt Messer has signed and
worked with songwriters and bands, before they had record deals, to help create
income through music licensing and song placement. He is directly responsible
for signing Blink 182, Avenged Sevenfold & Slipknot to name a few, during
his time at EMI.
He
has also been involved with artist development, both on a grassroots and major
label level. As well as discussing music licensing and song placement, Matt
will talk about royalties with streaming services (the pros and cons) as well
as where the future of the business is headed, and how you as a musician can
change with it. Las Vegas native and musician, Michael Stratton, will guide the
conversation.
