Makeup Institute, the newly expanded makeup artistry educational academy,
announces its free consumer workshop series for the summer and fall seasons.
Open to the public and touching on a wide variety of topics, the workshops will
take place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. the first Saturday of every month and will be
led by professional artists.
The
workshop series comes in conjunction with the institute’s recent retail area
expansion which allows the general public access to brands previously available
only to professional makeup artists. Consumers will have the opportunity to
purchase brands featured in the workshops and educators will be on hand to
assist with advice and questions.

The
workshop series lineup is as follows:
July
5 – Waterproofing Your Makeup: Tips for combating summer’s extreme heat and
creating a long-lasting effect for your makeup will be discussed. Both specific
products and application techniques will be showcased to ensure a lasting look.
August
2 – Applying Makeup for Teenagers: Experts will explore how younger women can
appropriately apply makeup and create fresh looks without overpowering natural
features.
September
6 – How to Look HD Camera Ready: The workshop will focus on creating a
camera-ready look and how to accentuate certain features for the most
flattering look in photos. Perfect that selfie in this lesson.
October
4 – The Beauty of Color: The often challenging task of choosing the correct
shade for ethnic skin tones will be explored with experts offering advice on matching
shades with tones.
November
1 – 40s and Fabulous: Tips on how to achieve a younger look at any age through
cosmetics. Guests will learn specific makeup tricks and how to properly apply
them to their routine to help achieve a youthful glow.
