Last
night (Friday, May 2), Donald Glover, known by his stage name Childish Gambino,
brought his Deep Web Tour to the mophie Stage at The Chelsea inside The
Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The
lyrical genius warmed up the crowd by playing the piano to “The Library,” the
intro off his recent album because the internet. Childish Gambino then launched
into a heart-pounding performance that kept the crowd jumping with hits, such
as “3005,” “Pink Toes,” “Worldstar” and “Crawl.” After completing his set with
“Earth: The Oldest Computer,” Childish Gambino
reclaimed the stage for an encore as the sold-out crowd chanted,
“Worldstar.” “Let’s do some old stuff, Las Vegas,” he claimed before ending the
night on a high note with a medley of his classic songs, including “So Fly,”
“Do Ya Like” and “Heartbeat,” a hit from his debut album CAMP.
Inspired
by some of the world’s most iconic venues, The Chelsea is a 40,000 square-foot
transformable space featuring remnant brick tiling, an eclectic collection of
stage production props, a vintage lobby bar, private VIP opera boxes and a
memorable grand staircase complete with a dramatic chandelier.

shows at The Chelsea include: Bruno Mars (May 23 & 24); Chelsea Handler
(June 13 & 14); Kraftwerk 3-D Concert (June 28); Ed Sheeran (Aug. 29 &
30) and Keith Urban (Aug. 31).
