Lorde
kicked off the second week of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ Valley to Vegas:
Spring Concert Series with a charismatic performance at Boulevard Pool last
night (Tuesday, April 15).
Prior
to the concert, Lorde met baseball legend George Brett, whose 1976 photo in
National Geographic inspired the singer’s hit song “Royals.” Brett then
experienced the show from a cabana with a small group of friends.
After
an opening set by special guest Lo-Fang, Lorde crept humbly onto stage,
radiating class in a simple black and white outfit. The teenage singer, known
for her signature wild hair and painted lips, delivered a soulful performance
complete with highly anticipated hits such as "400 Lux,"
"Royals" and "Team." "This is amazing!" Lorde
proclaimed of her view from the Boulevard Pool stage amidst the dazzling lights
of The Strip and her fans below. Lorde returns to Boulevard Pool for a second,
sold-out show this evening (Wednesday, April 16).
The
show marks the sixth performance in the Valley to Vegas: Spring Concert Series,
an unparalleled eight-day entertainment experience that offers guests the
opportunity to see some of the most talked about artists live at the most
unique resort amidst the avant-garde of The Chelsea and the energetic social
scene of Boulevard Pool.
Next
up in the Valley to Vegas: Spring Concert Series is Lorde at Boulevard Pool
(April 16); HAIM at Boulevard Pool (April 17); and Foster the People at
Boulevard Pool (April 18)
