Mark Wahlberg |
Nicola Pelz |
Every
year like clockwork the stars come to Las Vegas accompanied by publicists and
studio heads to talk about their upcoming projects. What is CinemaCon? It is the largest showcase
and convention for theater owners and features the latest, most important and
innovative technological advances in theater equipment, and, the newest, most
delectable offerings from the concession world—everything you need to satisfy
the demanding needs of today’s sophisticated moviegoer.
Dwayne Johnson |
Will Arnett |
On
opening day fresh off of his story in Life & Style “The Making of a
Megastar” Mark Wahlberg walked the red carpet and posed for photos; CinemaCon was off to an exciting start with an exclusive presentation
highlighting Paramount's 2014 films. Wahlberg is starring in the summer blockbuster Transformers and it is sure to be an interesting twist on this franchise. Also
on the red carpet Nicola Peltz who is known for her starring role in A&E's The Bates Hotel. She co-stars as Wahlberg's daughter in the Transformer movie and while the word reboot has not been mentioned none of the original cast is in the latest installment including one of my favorites Josh Duhamel. However with Wahlberg's action star status and the big screen effects the movie should do just fine at the box office. Also on the red carpet Actor Jack Reynor with Director Michael Bay
from “Transformers Age of Extinction”; Dwayne Johnson from “Hercules”; and Will
Arnett from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
Leslie Mann & Cameron Diaz |
More big
names and stars were seen creating the buzz for the upcoming comedy release by
20th Century Fox The Other
Woman. Starring Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann the movie plot centers around
Diaz’s character after realizing she is not her boyfriend's primary lover she
teams up with his wife and they plot
mutual revenge.
Tonight
is the ending of the convention and it culminates with the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards.
