Maverick
is the son of Duchess. He was born into the Dolphin Pool at the end of Feb 2003. The only waters
he has ever known are captive in the middle of the Mojave. His mother, Duchess,
was stolen from the wild to be a slave to captivity. His father, Banjo, died a
year after Maverick was born.
Captivity
of cetaceans is cruel. There is a worldwide movement growing to bring awareness
to the atrocities that these animals face in captivity. Please feel free to join them on the
22nd of Feb at 2:30 in front of the Mirage dolphin statues near Sirens Cove Blvd
for a friendly peaceful protest.
They will
allow posters about Taiji as well because the slaughters will still be going on
at this time.
