The
legendary musicians of America’s heyday return to the historic Riviera Hotel
& Casino on the famed Las Vegas Strip with the premieres of Forever Doo Wop
and Forever Motown. Produced by Red Mercury Entertainment and featuring a
collection of hit songs ranging from The Temptations to Stevie Wonder to The
Marvelettes, Forever Doo Wop and Forever Motown will both premiere at the
Casino Lounge inside the Riviera Hotel & Casino on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Featuring
an all-star, eight-person ensemble of lead singers from some of America’s most
influential musical groups such as The Coasters, Platters, Drifters,
Marvelettes and The Main Ingredient, Forever Doo Wop takes audiences on an
unforgettable journey through the exciting history of Doo Wop music. Paying
homage to one of America’s most persuasive art forms, Forever Doo Wop is
comprised of a series of vignettes and mini-concerts, spanning all genres of
Doo Wop. Cast credits include Early Clover, Grammy Award-winning singer Jerome
Jackson, Tonja Foster and Terrence Forsythe, among others.
Directed
by Broadway veteran Gary Kupper and featuring a cast of brilliant entertainers
and former members of legendary Motown musical groups including The Jones, Main
Ingredient, The Spinners and The Marvelettes, Forever Motown offers a non-stop,
high-energy trip down memory lane. The iconic Motown sound, featuring the songs
America grew up on, will be recreated down to the slightest vocal and musical
nuance. Sing, dance and celebrate songs by such American icons as Marvin Gaye,
Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie
and the rest of the renowned Motown roster.
Tickets
for Forever Doo Wop and Forever Motown are $29 all-inclusive for general
admission and $49 (plus tax and applicable fees) for a VIP package that
includes premium seating. Both shows will be performed at the Casino Lounge
inside the Riviera Hotel & Casino and tickets to each show are sold
separately. Forever Doo Wop will begin at 7:00 p.m., and Forever Motown will
