To honor
men and women who devote their lives to helping make our world a better place,
Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is announcing the “Everyday Heroes” campaign for
2014. Inspired by the world-famous Marvel super heroes, including figures
currently on display in the Madame Tussauds Las Vegas attraction, as well as by
the recent grand opening of its new Marvel Super Heroes 4D Experience, Everyday
Heroes will honor specific real-life heroes one day each month during 2014.
Everyday
Heroes from across the country will receive complimentary admission for
themselves and $8 off regular pricing (child or adult) for up to three of their
guests on their designated day when they present valid identification.
Everyday
Heroes kicks off on Saturday, Jan. 25, when Madame Tussauds will recognize
those working in the law enforcement field. A calendar of subsequent Everyday
Hero honorees for the quarter is as follows:
Saturday,
Feb. 22nd – Nurses
Saturday,
Mar. 22nd – Social Workers (in honor of World Social Workers Day March 19)
“We
thought it an appropriate time with the recent addition of our new Marvel super
heroes to honor our real, everyday super heroes who are making a difference in
our communities,” says Rosita Chapman, general manager, Madame Tussauds Las
Vegas.
The new
Marvel Super Heroes 4D Experience at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas enables guests
to see Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man save the world from
destruction. For the first time, visitors can see, hear and feel the Super
Heroes save the day. The opening of the theater marks the grand finale to the
attraction’s multi-million dollar renovation. The all-new attraction now offers
an array of show-stopping new interactive experiences and a selection of newly
added A-list celebrities for every fan. With stunning renovations to seven
uniquely themed rooms, together with the Marvel Super Heroes 4D Experience, the
completely refurbished and redesigned attraction ushers guests into a series of
unforgettable celebrity encounters.
In
addition, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas offers not only the life-like,
true-to-scale celebrities, but also numerous interactive experiences. Become
part of Wolf Pack from “The Hangover” by visiting Bradley Cooper inside the
infamous hotel room. Become an instant celebrity while sitting in the hot seat
during a Jerry Springer taping. Take a place among NASCAR royalty next to Dale
Earnhardt. Sing for Simon Cowell— but be ready to be critiqued—or just sing
along with musical icons such as Katy Perry, Rihanna and Madonna. The Everyday
Heroes for spring will be announced next month.
Madame
Tussauds is open 365 days of the year and opens at 10 a.m. For more
