Den Asian Bistro by Chef Angelo Sosa will honor the Chinese New Year with a
specialty five-course prix fixe meal, available exclusively on Friday, Jan. 31.
“I’ve
spent the past few years traveling through Asia to learn the customs and unique
traditions of the culinary world out there,” said Sosa. “As an Asian bistro,
what better way to celebrate the Chinese New Year than with the dishes that
have been inspired from my experiences overseas?”
The
year of the horse meal will begin with a sugar snap pea and water chestnut
salad served in soy ginger vinaigrette followed by an aromatic steamed white
fish made topped with fresh black mushrooms, ginger and Thai basil. The next
course will be soy braised pork belly with bok choy before the entrée featuring
a house favorite, the Peking duck, which is marinated for three days in ginger,
salt, cinnamon, scallions, coriander and star anise and served with scallion
pancakes, pickles and hoisin. The meal will conclude with sweet black sesame
seed dumplings dipped in condensed milk.
Chef Sosa’s festive meal is priced at $48 per person.
