A
perfect combination of miX’s world-class cuisine, inspired by Alain Ducasse,
and Hartford Family Winery’s extraordinary wines, will meet Tuesday, Dec. 10 at
6:30 p.m. at an exclusive dinner at miX’s Chef’s Table, situated on the top
floor of THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. The event will enrich guests’ culinary
appetites as they savor a five-course menu carefully executed by miX Executive
Chef Bruno Riou. Each course will be paired with the award-winning Chardonnay
and Pinot Noir of Hartford Family Winery, by Hartford Family Winery Winemaker
Jeff Stewart and Mandalay Bay Director of Wine Harley Carbery.
The
culinary discovery will begin with canapés accompanied with Russian River
Valley Hartford Court Chardonnay 2011. The second course, Pressed Foie Gras and
Chicken, served with pickled seasonal vegetables and black truffle condiment,
will be complemented with Stone Côte Vineyard Hartford Court Chardonnay 2009.
The experience will continue with a Slow Baked Cobia served with leeks, pearl
onion & button mushrooms and matelote sauce, paired with Jennifer’s
Hartford Court Pinot Noir 2010. The main course will present Colorado Lamb Loin
with farro and a spiced condiment, served with Highwire Vineyard Old Vine
Hartford Zinfandel 2011. The decadent finale will welcome a Chocolate and
Orange Biscuit with pomegranate granite, paired with Fanucchi-Wood Road
Vineyard Old Vine Hartfort Zinfandel 2011, a flawless ending to the indulgent
dessert.
