YUMM! Hand Crafted Pies From Chocolate & Spice!!

Fitting for fall celebrations, Chef Megan Romano is happy to announce a selection of hand-crafted pies from award-winning neighborhood bakery Chocolate & Spice. Avoid the hassle and skip the lines this Thanksgiving by pre-ordering your holiday desserts. Choose from a variety of robust pie flavors including spiced pumpkin harvest, granny smith apple, granny smith apple & cranberry, blueberry vanilla bean, signature banana cream and bourbon pecan as each pie is made to order and ranges from 4” personals ($5.25) to 11” family-size pies ($22 - $24).

For the at-home cook willing to give baking a shot in their own kitchen this holiday season, Romano is also releasing a few simple tips to making the perfect pie.
·         For easier entertaining, make the dough at least a day in advance or up to two weeks stored well-wrapped in the freezer.
·         Choose a filling based on the seasons' best fruit.  The filling may be made in advance as well.
·         Pies bake best from a chilled temperature so that the water content in the butter has a chance to create steam for a crunchy texture.
·         In order to cleanly cut slices from a pie, bake several hours before company is due to arrive.

Chocolate & Spice is located at 7293 West Sahara Ave. Las Vegas, NV 89117 and is open Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm. For more information please visit www.chocolatenspice.com or call 702-527-7772.
