When Darlene Hielscher and Bryan Porter went on their first date two years ago, it was casual. The pair met for lunch and talked for hours as they drank beer and ate hamburgers. Afterward, Bryan asked Darlene if they just went on a date. She replied, “We rode in the same car, ate burgers and held hands: I’d say that was a date.” Fast forward to 2013: next Tuesday, Nov. 12, Darlene and Bryan of Ormond Beach, Fla. will have the wedding of their dreams by getting married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator with a Smashburger-themed ceremony. They will be married the morning* of 11/12/13 at the Graceland Chapel on Las Vegas Blvd. Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan will also attend the ceremony.

Darlene, 43, sales assistant, and Bryan, 46, IBEW electrician, have been engaged since winter 2012. They dated in high school and reconnected two years ago.

“We’ve always wanted to get married in Las Vegas,” says Darlene. “When we were talking about when to get married last year, Bryan thought it would be fun to get married on 11/12/13.” Bryan is also an avid fan of Elvis, and on the day of the wedding the groom will be wearing shorts and a blue Hawaiian shirt with guitars.

On the day of their burger-themed wedding, they will be married by Elvis and receive a lavish, 6-tiered wedding “cake” made out of Smashburgers, which they will cut and serve one another following the exchange of vows at Graceland Chapel, world-renowned for marrying couples on the Las Vegas Strip for more than 60 years. In addition, her bouquet and his boutonniere will be punctuated with Smashfries. The couple will also receive:
