The
incomparable Carlos Santana paid a visit to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. Mr. Santana took the time to visit with
residents of the Mission, taking photographs, signing autographs, but most of
all brought words of encouragement to the residents as they work through the 12
month Recovery Program, putting their lives back on track.
Mr.
Santana also gave the blessing before the evening meal served in the Mission’s
beautiful Dining Center, and his Milagro Foundation also presented the Mission
with a generous donation to support its daily service to the homeless, hungry
and hurting in our city.
The
Las Vegas Rescue Mission would love an opportunity to publicly acknowledge
and thank Mr. Santana for his humble and compassionate visit, donation and
blessing of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
The
Rescue Mission provides daily service to those in great need – providing an
average of 1,000 meals daily, nearly 200 emergency beds for homeless men, women
and families, daily basic need items to thousands of people each month, and
also provide long term recovery care and job readiness to 120+ men and women at
any one time. These services cannot be
provided without the help of our generous community and people like Mr.
Santana.
