Las
Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) reports it has received seven inches
of snow, making it the first significant snowfall of the season. The snow began
to fall at approximately 1 p.m. yesterday afternoon. Current weather reports
show a 40-percent chance of snow today.
The last time the area experienced a significant early snowfall was in
2009 when LVSSR opened on Oct. 7. LVSSR
is scheduled to open for its 2013/14 season on Friday, Nov. 29, but is prepared
to open earlier if weather permits.
