a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s a….Dog? The famous DockDogs®
Iron
Dog Best of the Best Championship, the world’s premier canine aquatics
competition, returns to the Nevada WILD FEST at Rio All-Suite Hotel &
Casino Sept. 20-22, 2013 and will be filmed as a television special for CBS
Sports.

Worldwide. “As the top Iron Dog Teams from the DockDogs®Worldwide rankings go
head to head in the grueling Iron Dog competition format, the television
audience from all across North America will witness up close and personal, both
the determination and athleticism of these Pro Teams."
The
DockDogs® Competitions and the Iron Dog Championship are one of the main
attraction’s of the annual Nevada WILD FEST. Six top-ranked canine aquatics
teams from all over the world will battle in all three DockDogs® disciplines:
Big Air®, Speed Retrieve® and Extreme Vertical®. The highly-trained dogs and
handlers on each team push their training and abilities to the limit as they
jump, run and retrieve to win the coveted title and earn the bragging rights to
be named the "Best of the Best Iron Dog.”
Fans
are welcome at pool and dockside to cheer them on and to bring their own dogs
for the regular DockDogs® competitions take place each day of the Nevada WILD
FEST. The Iron Dog portion of the Competition is being filmed as a one-hour
television special for CBS Sports and will run in November of this year.
In
addition to the fun-loving dogs sport at the Nevada WILD FEST, dog lovers can
take advantage of Caesars Entertainment’s innovative PetStay program, which
offers dog-friendly accommodations, amenities and experiences at eight of its
Las Vegas resorts including the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
PetStay
guests and their pups receive in-room amenities that include dog treats, food
and water dishes and a pet mat along with a map of dog-walking routes,
on-property designated relief areas and a list of dog-friendly resources for
pet walking, pet sitting, grooming services and veterinarian information.
As
part of the PetStay program, each resort offers floors and areas throughout the
property that are designated as pet-friendly zones. Dogs are permitted to walk
through designated common areas while on a leash and accompanied by the owner
and pets left unattended in a guest room are required to be crated. For more

The
Nevada WILD FEST’s other main attractions include more than 30 large format
carnival rides for all ages, as well as specialty foods and thirst-quenching
beverages in the Food Plaza, Wine Tasting, Beer and Mixed Drink bars and
rockin’ music headliners on the Festival Stage supported by some of the best
local bands in Las Vegas.
Nevada
WILD FEST admission is $10 per person onsite OR $6 per person online in
