The Range
702, Nevada's largest indoor shooting facility, was recently awarded a
Certificate of Appreciation from The American Legion, the nation’s largest
wartime veterans service organization, for effectively maintaining 90 percent
Veteran and service member hiring standard.
Commander
Ed Seeley from The American Legion’s Department of Nevada, 2nd District,
presented the award to The Range 702’s Assistant Operations Manager Carlos
Campos and Range Manager Bryan Colston on Friday, August 16, 2013. Campos,
former United States Marine Corps, alongside Colston, previous United States
Navy, accepted the award on behalf of The Range 702’s 54 active staff members,
48 of whom are former United States armed forces.
As a
former Air Rescue Swimmer in the U.S. Navy stationed in Coronado, CA for nine
years, Bryan Colston is now employed at The Range 702 as Lead Range Manager and
provides one-on-one firearm training for customers and tourists. “I’m in charge
of over 10 Range Safety Officers at The Range 702, all of whom are ex-military,
so supporting fellow veterans is a priority for me,” said Bryan. “The American
Legion recognizing The Range 702’s efforts is a great honor and furthers our
cause of continuing to hire and maintain veterans of the United States armed
forces.”
In
addition to providing a workplace where veterans can exercise their leadership
skills and knowledge of firearms among other aspects of training received while
in the military, The Range 702 also actively supports several charitable
organizations that provide assistance to veterans including America Helping
Heroes, Horses4Heroes , and Wounded
Warrior Project.
The
Range 702 is conveniently located off the I-15, between W. Tropicana and W.
Flamingo at 4699 Dean Martin Drive Las Vegas, NV 89103. For more information,
