Tuesday,
Aug. 20, Angel Management Group’s PURE Nightclub inside Caesars Palace was a
sight to see as GRAMMY Award-winner Pharrell Williams took over the main stage
for a special live performance. In town for the Liberty Trade Show, the
multi-talented artist had thousands of partygoers flocking to the mega-club as
he also celebrated the 10th anniversary of his clothing company, Billionaire
Boys Club (BBC).
Arriving
to the award winning hot spot just after 1 a.m., the star hit the red carpet
where he posed for photographers. As nearby fans shouted his name, Williams welcomed
hip-hop recording artist and record producer Swizz Beatz to join him in the
spotlight. Finally making their way into the nightspot, the duo headed to their
VIP table located on the main stage where they joined dozens of their guests.
Settling into his area, the chart-topping star stepped out to greet his fans.
The energy of the nightclub erupted with excitement as Williams reached to
touch the hands of his admirers.
Just
after 1:30 a.m. the lights in the main room went dim and the stage became center
of attention. The singer appeared with microphone in hand as he addressed the
audience welcoming them to PURE Nightclub. Beginning his action-packed
performance, Williams sang his hit “Happy” from the popular motion picture
“Despicable Me 2.” The lyricist continued his mini-concert as he sang his fan
favorites including “Get Like Me, “Frontin, “Blurred Lines” and many more.
During his performance, he was joined by special guest Swizz Beatz as they both
took turns showing off their dance moves, taking cameras from fans to capture
up close, live videos and getting guests to dance and sing along.
Showing
his appreciation to his devoted fans, Williams addressed the sold-out crowd as
he thanked them for all of their continued support and for being with him to
celebrate the BBC anniversary. Asking the audience if they wanted the show to
continue, Williams and Beatz conducted a contest with their fans. As they
divided the room into three sections they had clubgoers trying to out shout one
another in hopes the duo would continue the performance. The nightclub shook
from the thousands of guests screaming excitement, and Williams continued with
an encore of his latest hit “Blurred Lines.” Wrapping up the song, the hip-hop
sensation told his fans he wanted to dance with them, and as he cued the DJ to
play his popular track “Get Lucky” he made his way onto the dance floor and
through the masses. Back on stage Beatz took over the mic and continued the
show until Williams returned. As the performance went on, confetti flew through
the air and Williams was presented with a three-tiered cake in honor of his
anniversary celebration.
Taken
back by the overwhelming energy of the nightclub, the duo decided to keep the
performance going as they played and sang along to iconic hits from the 90’s
and today while keeping partygoers on their feet. Wrapping up a nearly two hour
performance, the two thanked the crowd once again and headed back to their VIP
table to continue the celebration Sin City style.
