“Crusin’
Classics – A Night at the Diner,” featuring ‘50s and ‘60s rock and roll music
with a narrative, comes to the Suncoast Showroom August 30 through September 1.
The
show tells the story of a diner owner faced with the prospect of selling his
beloved establishment. Covering hit songs from 1955 through 1963, the owner
relives his life’s journey to the sounds of Bill Haley, Brenda Lee, Neil Sedaka
and more.
The
story focuses on simpler times, the lives of the kids that aided in the owner’s
journey and the music that defined the Baby Boomer generation. Hardy Rawls,
best known as the bored Maytag Repairman in television commercials that aired
from 2003 through 2007, stars as the diner owner.
Showtime
is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95 each, plus tax and convenience
fees, and can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office, by calling
702.636.7075, or visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.
